The Kärcher K 4 Power Control Flex is a dependable pressure washer that punches above its weight in the budget segment. At 130 bar maximum pressure and 420 litres per hour flow rate, it delivers enough grunt for typical household cleaning tasks—driveways, patios, fences, and vehicles all come within its remit.
What impressed me most is the thoughtful bundle included. Rather than selling you a bare-bones unit, Kärcher's included a water filter, high-pressure hose, dirt blaster lance, and spray lance. That's a complete setup out of the box, no surprise costs. The 11.5 kg weight makes it reasonably portable between jobs, and the Flex design offers flexibility in handling different cleaning scenarios.
The Power Control feature is a genuine plus—adjustable pressure means you won't accidentally damage delicate surfaces like car paintwork or garden furniture whilst still having the power needed for stubborn grime. At 30 m² per hour coverage, you're looking at reasonable efficiency for a domestic unit.
However, it's worth being honest about limitations. This isn't a machine for serious heavy-duty work. If you're planning to tackle thick moss on a large patio or intensive driveway cleaning regularly, you might want something with higher bar pressure. Similarly, at this power level, alfalta and heavily textured surfaces take longer.
Compared to similar offerings, though, this represents genuine value. You're getting Kärcher's reputation—not a no-name brand—for a price that doesn't demand a second mortgage. For someone wanting occasional garden maintenance without investing £300+, this is straightforward.
At £123 (down from £200), the K 4 Power Control Flex is worth considering if your cleaning needs are moderate and your budget is realistic. It won't revolutionise your garden, but it'll certainly make regular maintenance easier and more efficient than a hosepipe.
