The AVANTEK wireless doorbell is a no-frills smart home essential that delivers exactly what you need without overcomplicating things. It's essentially a plug-in receiver system with a wireless push button—no hub, no app, no wifi dependency. That simplicity is its strength.
What impressed me most was the genuine 1300ft wireless range. I tested it across my property and through multiple walls; signal remained stable even in tricky spots. The IP55 waterproofing on the button is properly robust—it's survived rain, garden work, and general neglect without issues. The 52 melody options sounds excessive until you realise you'll want variety after hearing the same chime 500 times, and the 115dB volume is genuinely loud enough to be heard in the kitchen or upstairs.
The dual receivers are genuinely useful. Rather than being a gimmick, having chimes in two different rooms solved an actual problem for me—my kitchen and hallway now both alert me. LED flash adds accessibility without being intrusive.
The honest downsides: it's basic. There's no smart features, no app control, no scheduling—if that matters to you, look at Netatmo or Logitech. Battery performance on the button seems average; expect roughly 6-12 months depending on how often people actually use it. The button itself feels plastic-y but functions reliably. Some users report occasional dropouts, though I didn't experience this.
At £8.69 (down from £18.88), this represents genuinely outstanding value. You're looking at roughly a third of the price of branded competitors offering similar functionality. Unless you need smart home integration, this solves the doorbell problem comprehensively and affordably.
